On the second day of the invasion, Russian soldiers entered Kiev, Ukrainian officials confirmed in a Twitter post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said the “enemy” was in the Obolon district, about 9 km (5.5 miles) north of Kiev’s city center. They have encouraged locals to make Molotov cocktails to fight, while also advising others to seek refuge.<\/p>\n

Russia’s military is targeting dozens of civilians, said a Ukrainian Interior Ministry official.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the Secretary of Defense of the United Kingdom says that the verified assessment of the intelligence services in the UK is that Russia has failed on the first day of achieving any of its objectives.<\/p>\n

“It failed because the Ukrainians fought. It failed because of Putin’s ego who thought they would think he was a liberator. It failed. It did not fail because of the deadly aid it allowed. [ukrainasit] to attack Russian tanks and planes. “<\/p>\n

Ben Wallace continued, “they have lost about 450 soldiers, the Russian armed forces. “They have failed with their elite Spetsnaz to get the airport north of Kiev.”<\/p>\n
