The plant&#8217;s staff continues to work on power units, ensuring the operation of nuclear facilities.  &#8220;Unfortunately, there are dead and injured among the Ukrainian defenders.&#8221;<\/em> announced Energoatom, Ukraine&#8217;s nuclear power company, in a statement via Telegram on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Following the attack by Russian forces, the fire at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant was extinguished at 6:20 a.m. local time, about an hour after firefighters arrived at the scene.
