From March 16-21, the National Museum in Tirana will host the exhibition “STREETART” entitled “We are our heroes”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Same84, one of the most important street artists of recent decades, presents a unique art exhibition.<\/p>\n
This exhibition is the first of its kind in Albania and together with it will start a series of similar activities in the coming years.<\/p>\n
In this exhibition the Greek artist Same84 presents many of his new works on canvas, which have been worked with mixed media, thus maintaining the same technique with which he works the walls in the open public space. This fact gives a special feeling to the road on the canvas, while the cement textures and spray writing emphasize this feeling. Characteristic of his works are very strong contrasts.<\/p>\n
The title of the exhibition “WE ARE OUR HEROES” refers to exactly what the title mentions. As the artist puts it, \u201call the works in the exhibition are inspired by our human power and the need to bring out of ourselves the hero we all hide in our souls. Based on this reasoning, I have tried with my works to “connect” the everyday people we meet in our daily lives, with the “modern” heroes. “And in a way that ‘shadows’ the other, showing that it is our duty to ‘capture’ our own lives and finally become our heroes.”<\/p>\n
The Same84 exhibition is part of activities for the European Youth Capital under the auspices of Kyriakos Iosifidis (UrbanAct) and Helidon Haliti, and with the support of the National Youth Congress, the Municipality of Tirana and the Greek Embassy in Tirana.<\/p>\n
