When we asked for another budget for the citizens in 2022 Rama was talking about satellites.
Albania is at the beginning of a deep economic crisis that is becoming more and more like an economic stagnation. For honorable citizens; stagflation is a situation where rising inflation is accompanied by rising unemployment and a declining demand to buy products as a result of rising costs and lower incomes.

The situation in our country was expected to come even though the war had not yet started between Russia and Ukraine. Therefore today the discussion and motion of the debate that will be accompanied by a resolution at its conclusion by the Democratic party.
The economic situation was expected to be problematic as the global economy was accompanied by austerity as a result of post-COVID and problems in the product supply chain worldwide. This was a situation that was accompanied in European countries, USA and beyond with a contraction of the supply of these products and consequently the increase of inflation.

We, as the opposition, asked the Albanian government to be extremely careful when discussing the state budget and instead of freeing itself for PPP spending and concessions, we proposed it to be much more conservative as the future was very uncertain even more insecure than it has been before. But the majority arrogantly opposed.

At the time of the announced electricity crisis, we noted that better management of the hydropower cascade and not only would produce another story in Albania and in the state budget. But the government decided otherwise! We offered the government to better manage its water and energy reserves while Prime Minister Rama talked about the first Satellite he would send into space.
When the government took on another external debt by increasing the value of public debt to 100% of GDP, we asked it to be more prudent as the economic situation was not very good. The structure of the Albanian economy is extremely vulnerable in relation to the shocks that the domestic market receives and especially the income of citizens.

The Rama majority has implemented a selective fiscal policy with taxes imposed on 95% of Albanians, avoiding only 5% of those who are oligarchs, concessionaires and PPP winners. Every time the elections approach, the government makes an adjustment, as it did with the small business, which will be included in the tax scheme once again very soon, as the program approved by the Ministry of Finance has drawn as a conclusion. So when you read on the pages and public accounts of Rama government ministers that Albania is a country where small business does not pay taxes, it is a temporary lie as they have it in the medium term budget program that will restore taxes for this business. They have pushed it for a while, but they will tax you.

The economic crisis that has started to feel good since December 2021 has found Albanian citizens like this: Albanian families according to EUROSTAT and before this crisis of price increase spend 42% of income for food basket products and beverages. This is the highest level of expenditure on this item in relation to revenue. Countries in the region have 35% while those in the EU have 12%. What does this mean? It means that Albanians have so far spent 13 million euros more and will spend even more as the situation is expected to worsen.
Albania is the country with the lowest per capita income in the region, being lower than Montenegro. Albanians have a GDP per capita of 5.84 thousand dollars while it has the lowest level of foreign investment. Compared to the situation of the countries of the region there is an average increase from 2014 on average $ 3 which is very little for a country with such a high potential. This translates into a country with poor economic growth that is completely beyond the opportunities offered by Albania and its natural and human resources.

30% of Albanians have less than $ 5 / day as measured by the World Bank while the poverty level is expected to increase further as a result of increased inflation being no longer a lifeline. Without starting inflation as history or the war in Ukraine in addition to inflation, our country had the highest commodity prices in the region according to EUROSTAT data.

Today, public debt is really an obstacle as the Albanian government in good times has not spent and invested wisely to face this time of crisis. But, as is well known, it has invested in trivial things for Albanians but that have grown and enriched a small clique of oligarchs who have influence in government. PPP contracts are as much as 50% of GDP according to the IMF which has consistently insisted more and more that the government give up the adventure in these contracts which are neither well studied nor efficient both economically and state side.

In other words, the state budget of our country is facing an even deeper crisis. The corruption crisis that today has shown not 1 PPP project but almost all PPP projects that are corrupt and abusive contracts. The three incinerator concession contract, a financial affair and the theft of 430 million euros that is ironically being implemented in Zimbabwe by the same characters. Today, to the state budget for 2022, these contracts cost a total of 112 million euros and have increased by 11.3% compared to last year. All this money that is paid from the taxes of Albanians that continue to increase while the government does not give up on them.

top channel

[ad_2]

Source link

[ad_1] Democrat MP Jorida Tabaku said in the Assembly rostrum this Thursday that 30% of Albanians today live on less than 5 dollars a day, while the country is sinking into a deep economic crisis.
