{"id":36948,"date":"2022-03-24T19:31:40","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T19:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/russia-expels-a-montenegrin-diplomat\/"},"modified":"2022-03-24T19:31:40","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T19:31:40","slug":"russia-expels-a-montenegrin-diplomat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/russia-expels-a-montenegrin-diplomat\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia expels a Montenegrin diplomat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"firstP\">\n<p>Russia&#8217;s Foreign Ministry has said it has officially announced the expulsion of a diplomat from Moscow from Montenegro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;This measure is in response to the decision of Montenegro, approved on March 4 this year, to declare a diplomat of the Russian Embassy in Podgorica as persona non grata&#8221;, said the Russian Foreign Ministry on March 24.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Montenegro&#8217;s foreign ministry declared a Russian diplomat persona non grata (undesirable person), saying the decision was based on a recommendation from the national security agency.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came after Montenegrin media reported allegations that two members of Russia&#8217;s Foreign Intelligence Service met in February with a senior official from the ruling Democratic Front party in the town of Danilovgrad.<\/p>\n<p>Relations between Russia and Montenegro have been complicated for years.
