Pregnant women and children are experiencing the war in Ukraine worse than anyone as they try to escape the bombings by hiding in basements and bunkers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In Kharkiv, the bombs damaged the maternity building, which has already been moved to the basement.<\/p>\n

Creepy images show mothers, to whom hope gives strength in the cold and dark environment.<\/p>\n

More than 200 pregnant women are left in Kharkiv, while mothers sleep in the corridors with newborn babies on their arms.<\/p>\n

Old paint falls off the walls as a layer of dust covers the objects. Nurses work quietly, using cell phone lights, while premature babies are in intensive care in the next ward.<\/p>\n

This is the current state of an improvised underground maternity hospital in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
