The Italian ambassador, Luca Attanasio, was killed today during an attack in the Democratic Republic of Congo. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A policeman who was in the car with the diplomat also passed away together with Attanasion.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador died as a result of the wounds received while the gunmen attacked the convoy.<\/p>\n<p>International media suggest that Ambassador Attanasio was traveling with the United Nations food aid convoy to the city of Kanyamahoro when he was attacked by several terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>It is suspected that the persons intended to take them hostage.
