It was something that pressed against my chest.  But I&#8217;m not doing this for myself, but for the children.  &#8220;I want no one to be ashamed of the fact that he has experienced something like this.&#8221;<\/em> admitted Evra for The Times.<\/p>\n<p>Now, in an interview with BBC One, he goes on to tell his story:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I sold drugs, prayed and worked in a TV shop.  One of these is not true.  There are two truths and one lie.  &#8220;I have not sold TVs.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Evra&#8217;s father left the house.  There were 24 brothers, but he managed to survive.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Sometimes, at midnight, when they threw cold hamburgers in the trash, we would go get them.  After my dad left, it was chaos.  Football saved me.  When I was 17, I traveled to Italy (went to Marsala and Monza, before signing with Nice).  I remember going into my room and having a pair of tracksuits.
