If you happen to visit the city of Orikum and pass the palaces built before the ’90s you will find in every palace entrance water pumps installed at the entrance of the palaces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Their number varies from 8 to 16 pumps for each inlet. Although over 30 years of democracy politicians in every campaign have promised drinking water 24 hours never to date for Orikum nothing has been done.<\/p>\n
Residents point out that drinking water in the city is part-time where there is only one hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon. And those who suffer are the inhabitants of Orikum who in these conditions try to do tourism. “We are made to keep a pump for a room and not for an apartment,” said one of the residents for Fiks.<\/p>\n
Fiksi asked in the Orikum Administrative Unit, where Mr. Selim Haskoelaj blamed the residents for the numerous pumps that are placed in the buildings. “We make a house and a pump because of the good relations that the citizens have with each other, who can not agree to put a common pump. We Albanians are always head to head\u2026 “says the administrator.<\/p>\n
He explains for Fiks that this administrative unit includes four villages Dukat i Ri, Tragjas, Radhima, Orikumi. The German project for the supply of drinking water has been implemented in the new Dukat and they have water 24 hours a day. He points out that they will do the same for Orikum starting at the end of May. “From the end of May to May, the director of the ADF told me that the project will start, the money has been found. It is a project that is done together with Himara, about 2 million euros, that will be done and Orikumi, Tragjasi and Radhima “said Mr. Haskoelaj. He promised the reporters of Fiks that very soon Orikumi will remove the water pumps being supplied 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n
