All 11 votes against were from Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Strong bipartisan support underscored lawmakers&#8217; desire to support Ukraine&#8217;s combat efforts without sending US troops.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This is a great package and will meet the great needs of the Ukrainian people as they fight for their survival.&#8221;<\/em>said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, seeking support for the emergency extra-spending bill.<\/p>\n<p>While President Biden said that the approval from the Congress sends a clear bipartisan message to the world that the people of the United States stand together with the brave people of Ukraine while defending their democracy and freedom.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration also announced another $ 100 million security package for Ukraine on Thursday.
