During a visit to Kiev on Sunday, he stated from the rostrum of parliament that Ukraine should not surrender to the demands of Russian President Putin and that it should decide for itself its fate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The speech of the Polish president in parliament during his unannounced visit to Kiev, was greeted with applause.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Concerns have been raised that Ukraine should make concessions in response to Putin&#8217;s demands.  &#8220;Only Ukraine has the right to decide on its future\u2026 nothing (can not be decided) for you, without you,&#8221; Duda said amid applause from Ukrainian lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish president said that the international community should demand that Russia withdraw completely from Ukrainian territory.<\/p>\n<p>During the speech of the Polish president<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If Ukraine is sacrificed for\u2026 economic reasons or political ambitions, even an inch from its territory, it would be a severe blow not only to the Ukrainian nation, but to the entire Western world,&#8221; Duda said.<\/p>\n<p>Poland is the birthplace of the Workers&#8217; Union Solidarity Movement, which played an important role in ending communism in Eastern Europe, and Poland&#8217;s relations with Russia have long been strained.
