TikTok users will be able to set a time limit for using the application after opening it.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3445044\" src=\"https:\/\/telegrafi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot_1-33.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"583\" height=\"408\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Previously the application offered control over the use of the application, which would expire after a certain time limit, however, the new settings allow users to receive an alert, so the application reminds them to &#8220;scold&#8221; if keep it.  open for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>The changes come after TikTok and similar apps faced issues affecting teens.  Earlier this year, the U.S. Senate unveiled a bill that would increase the study of social media addiction in an effort to set up more &#8220;protective fences&#8221; to protect new users.<\/p>\n<p>TikTok now introduces additional restrictions on app usage time for teens ages 13 to 17.
