{"id":58626,"date":"2022-06-15T06:33:53","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T06:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/ukrainian-officials-only-10-percent-of-the-required-weapons-have-arrived-in-ukraine\/"},"modified":"2022-06-15T06:33:53","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T06:33:53","slug":"ukrainian-officials-only-10-percent-of-the-required-weapons-have-arrived-in-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/ukrainian-officials-only-10-percent-of-the-required-weapons-have-arrived-in-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian officials: Only 10 percent of the required weapons have arrived in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"firstP\">\n<p>Ukraine has received only 10 percent of the weapons it has sought from the West to help fight the Russian occupation, Ukraine&#8217;s Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on June 14.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>She made the remarks in a televised conference, where she added that the West should speed up arms distribution.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No matter how hard Ukraine tries, no matter how professional our army is, without the help of Western partners we will not be able to win this war,&#8221; Malyar said.<\/p>\n<p>Western countries have promised to send sophisticated weapons, including advanced missiles, but carrying them takes time.<\/p>\n<p>Malyar said there should be &#8220;a clear time frame&#8221; for deliveries &#8220;because every day there is a delay, we are talking about the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky again called for heavy weapons from the West, criticizing the &#8220;restrained behavior&#8221; of some European leaders.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am grateful for what is coming, but it must come soon,&#8221; he told Danish journalists at an online conference.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Russia has&#8221; hundreds of times more equipment and weapons &#8220;than Ukraine, which did not have enough&#8221; long-range weapons &#8220;or&#8221; armored vehicles, and because of that we are losing people, &#8220;he said.<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskiy earlier made an emotional call for more advanced weapons that would allow Ukraine to survive &#8220;one of the most brutal battles in and for Europe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have to do a lot more together to win this war,&#8221; Zelensky told the German weekly Die Zeit in an interview published on June 14, a day before the meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels, where will discuss how to provide more support to Kiev.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky called in particular for more modern artillery, such as numerous longer-range missiles, telling the German publication that military supplies from Berlin, a sensitive topic between the two countries since the start of the war in February, are &#8220;still more fewer than they could be \u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Russian forces now have control of Severodonjeck, but fierce urban fighting continues in the key eastern city, Ukrainian officials said on June 14.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian army is attacking the city and then regrouping, said the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Russian troops have been slowly tightening their grip on Severodonjeck in recent days, cutting off the final bridge in the city on June 13 as street-to-street fighting continues.<\/p>\n<p>Russian forces gained control of the city center because of their superior artillery firepower, which includes the use of multi-missile systems, said Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, adding that Russian forces &#8220;are losing ground.&#8221; considerable in infantry units \u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the city administration, Oleksandr Stryuk, told Ukrainian television on June 14 that despite a third bridge being destroyed, &#8220;the city is not isolated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There are channels of communication even if they are quite complex,&#8221; Stryuk said, adding that there is constant fighting and the situation on the ground &#8220;changes every hour.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine has been under Russian occupation since February 24.  Currently, fighting is concentrated in the eastern part of this country.<\/p>\n<p>The West has strongly condemned the attack, punishing Russia with harsh economic and diplomatic sanctions.
