The wheat harvesting campaign has just started in what is known as the Barn of Albania, in Myzeqe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Farmers say production is good, but traders are taking advantage of the crisis and seeking to buy wheat cheaper than rye:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;A quintal of wheat is bought with 35 thousand lek\u00eb, while a quintal of hime is bought with 37 thousand old lek\u00eb.  This is a price that does not justify their cost and effort at all.  I give better to chickens and cattle than I sell to traders.  On July 26 I will leave the country like all youth.  Here you work, you serve the land, you produce, and in the end you are just as poor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have not received oil, as the oil is selectively distributed according to party beliefs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have been working on the combine since 1976, but like this year it has never been so bad.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Wheat is the bread of the people, but the government does not ask about us and the people.  The combine wants diesel.
