The Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Durr\u00ebs completes the investigation and sends for trial the defendant A.Th., accused of having committed the criminal offense &#8220;Failure to declare money and valuables at the border&#8221; and &#8220;Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity \u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Durr\u00ebs, criminal proceedings no.  1083 dated 13.06.2020 was registered based on the referral of the judicial police to the Local Police Directorate in charge of this citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Although after finding and seizing the money, the 56-year-old driver of the truck had denied the knowledge of the hidden money, the Durr\u00ebs accusation suggests that the investigation conducted and with special investigation methods has proven that the defendant A. Th.  has committed the criminal offenses &#8220;Failure to declare at the border of money and valuables&#8221; and &#8220;Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity&#8221; provided for in our criminal legislation.  In order to investigate this criminal proceeding, with decision no.  245\/5 dated 26.05.2022 of the Court of First Instance of Durr\u00ebs, it was decided to impose the preventive sequestration property measure for the amount of 498.850 Euros, which were ascertained during the scan of the Renault truck with license plate TR2046U and TR2048U which was driven by citizen A. Th.
