High temperatures and the price crisis increase the costs for the precious product"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"firstP\">\n<p>Business is not a flower field for Bulgarian rose oil producers these days. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Made from Damascus roses grown in the Rose Valley, the oil is a vital ingredient in perfumes produced by the world\u2019s best luxury brands.<\/p>\n<p>But a heat wave has cut this year\u2019s harvest, and rising global energy prices have increased costs for a product as precious as oil.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Rose oil will be significantly more expensive this year.  To be doubled this year, fuel costs have increased two or three times &#8220;<\/em>says Plamen Stankovski.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Our organization has taken several steps in an effort to negotiate compensation for the high prices of fuel used in the production process.  At this stage we have not received a response from the ministry whether such funding will be made available. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Production costs per kilogram of rose oil were around 6,000 euros in 2021, but they have risen by up to 40 percent this year.
