{"id":6340,"date":"2021-03-02T17:01:14","date_gmt":"2021-03-02T17:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/iraq-launches-vaccination-campaign-against-covid-19\/"},"modified":"2021-03-02T17:01:14","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T17:01:14","slug":"iraq-launches-vaccination-campaign-against-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imalbania.com\/kosova\/iraq-launches-vaccination-campaign-against-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Iraq launches vaccination campaign against COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Minister of Health of Iraq, Hassan al-Tamimi, has announced the start of the vaccination campaign against the new coronavirus (COVID-19), reports Anadolu Agency (AA).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Vaccinations will be distributed fairly and safely, and will reach all citizens free of charge,&#8221; al-Tamimi said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the campaign will initially start with health workers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, al-Tamimi said the ministry he heads received the first 50,000 votes cast by Chinese company Sinopharm.<\/p>\n<p>On January 26, the Iraqi parliament announced it would buy 1.6 million doses from Pfizer and eight million from AstraZeneca.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Iraq recorded 30 new deaths and 3,690 new infections from COVID-19.
