US Senators: Used by the Chinese government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"firstP\">\n<p>If a while ago many could have doubts about how the tik tok application uses the data of millions of users, now it is confirmed that employees of the company based in China have access to the personal information of American users and not only.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The fears of many officials in America who have raised their voices on the matter seem to have been confirmed, they say that this data could go directly to the communist government of China.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg reports that the viral video app admitted in a letter to nine US senators that some of the company&#8217;s employees have access to the data of many users.  The senators openly accused TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance Ltd., of monitoring American citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The senators asked TikTok what role these employees play in developing TikTok&#8217;s algorithm and whether any of this information was shared with the Chinese government.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of TikTok parent company ByteDance, Shou Zi Che\u00eb, said in a June 30 letter that China-based employees who clear a number of internal security protocols may have access to certain information about TikTok users based in China.
