While he did not directly admit to the allegations, Pincher said in a letter to Johnson that &#8220;last night I drank too much&#8221; and &#8220;embarrassed myself and other people&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The public rightly expects the government to be run properly, with competence and seriousness&#8221;<\/em>Sunak said in his resignation letter. <em>&#8220;I understand that this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe that these standards are worth fighting for, and that is why I am resigning.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Javid wrote that \u201c<em>It has been a great privilege to serve in this role, but I regret that I can no longer continue in good conscience.&#8221;<\/em>.
