Shkëndija qualified for the second qualifying round of the Conference League, drawing the return match against the Ararat Yerevan team, while they had won the first match 2-0 in Skopje. In the Armenian transfer, the Reds and Blacks were dominant again, but could not get more than a 2-2 draw, even though they ended the first 45 minutes with a two-goal lead.

The Octobers managed to unlock the result in the second minute, as Shala’s insistence forced Juan Bravo to send it into his team’s net. Four minutes after the goal, the locals scored, but the winger canceled the goal for an irregular position. Doriev and Guri were a constant threat to the Armenian defense, while captain Hasani was the one who organized every action, exit or counterattack.

For the second goal, Shkëndija had to wait until the extra time of the first half. “Buba” arched correctly from the corner, finding the forgotten Guri at the second post, who punished the locals with his head. In the second half, the Reds and Blacks from Tetova reduced the pressure, giving ground to the rivals who charged and scored two goals.

Four minutes after the start of the second half, Gor Malakyan used a ball that was badly missed by the Octovarians, which brought the first goal for Ararat. In the 79th, it was Malakyan again, who took advantage of the poor performance of the goalkeeper Zahav and scored a beautiful goal, setting the balance.

In the remaining minutes, the result did not change, with Shkëndija enjoying the qualification. In the next round of the Conference League, the Albanian team will face the Latvians of Valmiera.
