German bars have a tradition of keeping on their shelves glasses of famous, or in this case, infamous for some, leaders.<\/p>\n
The glass is believed to have been hidden in the building during World War II to prevent it from being stolen by Allied Forces or citizens.<\/p>\n
It was reportedly discovered after the brewery was bought by a beverage company in 1957 after the departure of American troops.<\/p>\n
Auctioneer Bill Panagopoulos said: “Many objects from Hitler’s table have come to light over the years, but perhaps none as evocative as his personal beer glass, which appears to be in excellent condition.”<\/p>\n
The object will be sold at a war memorabilia auction on July 28 at Alexander Historical Auctions in Maryland, USA.<\/p>\n
It also includes Hitler’s gold watch that could fetch $4 million, as well as a signed message from him that could fetch $100,000.<\/p>\n
