At first, the task of Romel was to train the Youth Hitler. But when the invasion of Poland began, he was assigned to take care of the headquarters qeproud of Fuhrer. very soon, Rommel was in charge of military, bodyguard and line strategies the protection of the Nazis during the occupation of “D day“by the allied forces.

Romel was also a protagonist of the plan to invade France. He helped fortify the French coast. Thewas committed to helping Nazi Germany become a world leader. He won not only the respect of Hitler. Even the British called him an excellent soldier, giving him the nickname “Desert Fox”.

Romel impl any order of Hitler, by the time they were fighting in Africa. He was asked to execute every commando and WhatWILL Jews who had been captured. But for the first time, he refused to do as he was told Fuhrer. But his involvement in the plot to kill HITLER, began when they discussed how to stop the Allies’ all-out assault on the Normandy coast.

His suggestion was to build an “Atlantic Wall” to face the Allies from the moment they landed on the beach. But this idea was rejected by Hitlerwho followed the advice of other generals, to allow the Allies to land, before that begin a counterattack Germanewidower.

After that meeting, Alexander later Falkenhausen met Romelinand from that moment the preparation of the plot to kill began HITLER. Late Falkenhausen was a Nazi who spent his early years in the war defending China from Japanese forces. According to him, the only hope for Germany was to fall HITLER and to seek peace with the allied troops.

As the tide of war was turning against the Nazis, and there was no way they were going to win. The “Desert Fox” tried to protect the Germans during the Allied invasion, and he saw how the enemy quickly annihilated the German forces. In those conditions, he wrote her a letter Hitler and demanded their surrender, which was refused by Fuhrer.

Romel he didn’t want to kill him HITLERand the original plan was to arrest him, and to make peace with the Allies, after he had successfully retaken France. But things changed when on July 17 1944, the car of Romel was shot down by a Royal Air Force fighter jet, leaving him seriously injured with 3 skull fractures, AND me moree shards of glass embedded in the face.

In these caseshto, and when the Gestapo had tracked down his accomplices, the conspirators had to act quickly. Claus later Staufenberg decided to carry out the plan even without Romelin. On July 20, 1944, he would attend a meeting along with HITLERand thought it was the perfect opportunity to carry out the assassination.

Staufenberg arrived with a briefcase in hand in the underground hall at the East Prussian headquarters of Fuhrer, also called as “hideout of the Wolf”. within Whatthe side was located

a bomb, which he would place under the table near his feet Hitler. Afterwards, he would make excuses that they were looking for him on the phone and left the hall. Things went HARDLY according to the plan, until someone accidentally moved the bag. So when the bomb went off, the hall was almost completely destroyed, and it killed 4 senior military personnel, but Hitler was slightly injured.

Two months later, and after confessioneve under tortbridge of some conspirators, name of Romel appeared as one of the co-conspirators.
