Although he has been retired for 10 years, Ismail Qyrana continues to practice the difficult profession of turner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He is the oldest turner in Fier and has over 54 years of work in this difficult profession.<\/p>\n

He started working at the age of 18, immediately after finishing high school in Ku\u00e7ova. Until 1995 he worked as a turner in oil extraction and refining companies, and then exercised private activity.<\/p>\n

The 72-year-old says that during the dictatorship, the profession of turner, although one of the most difficult, was not appreciated.<\/p>\n

Ismaili inherited the profession from his son, for whom he says that the student has become better than the ustai.<\/p>\n

Eduart, Ismail’s son, returned to his father’s job when he was a child after finishing school. There Edward learned the craft from the best master.<\/p>\n
