A woman who died in her car had deliberately entered the Niagara River in the northwestern U.S. yesterday, authorities said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The dramatic footage published shows the Coast Guard’s attempts to recover the woman by air.<\/p>\n
“At this point in the investigation, entering the water by car seems to be a deliberate act,” regional police chief Christopher Rola told the network. Buffalo News<\/a>.<\/p>\n After entering the water, the car was stuck in the river bed only 30 meters away from the waterfall.<\/p>\n The horrific incident was captured on camera by the U.S. Coast Guard, as a diver then got into the car from the helicopter for the woman\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n But the driver of the vehicle, who was reportedly around 60 years old, was later pronounced dead. She was the only passenger in the car.<\/p>\n Until late yesterday her car was still in the river, getting closer and closer to the edge of the abyss, media said.<\/p>\n Police have not yet publicly identified the woman, who was reportedly from the Buffalo area.<\/p>\n \n<\/p>\n top channel
