Heavy rains have covered the entire region of Shkodra for 24 hours, while in the deep mountainous areas the snowfall has returned.
As a result, the inflows to the Drin River cascade have increased, but the situation is normal in the 3 hydropower plants of Fierza, Koman and Vau – Dejes.
The level of the rivers Drin, Buna and Kir as well as the lake of Shkodra are in normal quotas for the winter period and are a few meters away from the danger zone that can cause floods in the area of NënShkodra.
The Civil Emergency Headquarters reports that the only problem of the last 24 hours is electricity where work is being done to repair defects in the villages of Gjegjan, Rrapa and Qafë Malit in Fushe Arrez, in Puke there are power outages in Luf, and also in some areas of Vau Dejes.
In Shkodra, problems have been reported in Cas, Zues and in some neighborhoods of the city with Feeder 5. As heavy snow continues in the deep mountainous areas and the tourist villages of Kelmendi in Malësia e Madhe are isolated due to the blockage of the main road and not cleaning it, the good news is that in Theth, the Albanian Road Authority has made available 2 new snowplows.
Unlike previous years where the road was cleared by the armed forces, this time, the snowplows in a few minutes remove the snow making the road passable. Despite the heavy rainfall, currently Thethi road is passable.
