The work for the rehabilitation of the brook of the city of Lushnja will start soon.
The news was announced by the Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Region of Fier, Taulant Balla, who stated that this project will be one of the largest investments of the Albanian government in Lushnje.
“Thanks to a close cooperation of the Municipality of Lushnja with the Albanian Development Fund and the support of the Albanian government, it has become possible to detail the final project.
We have received a guarantee from Prime Minister Rama that this will be the largest project to be funded in the city of Lushnja. The investment will give this city a relief. This is an important artery of this city and from a stream it has been turned into a jungle, where waste has been accumulated for many years. After the completion of the investment, this area will be transformed into a green environment, where the citizens of Lushnja will spend their afternoons. “If the works will proceed at the right pace, my wish is for Christmas 2022 to find Lushnja the completed project”, declared Balla.
The 2 km stream rehabilitation project includes cleaning works, demolition of existing concrete, construction of slopes, planting of slopes, construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes on one side, construction of two bridges with metal construction and two roads parallel to the stream.
