President Ilir Meta has reacted to the decision that is expected to be given today by the Constitutional Court, dismissal or not. In a photo posted this morning, Meta posted a photo with waiter Landi while revealing the people who will represent him in the Constitutional Court.

The session is expected to start at 10:00, while President Meta will not be present.
The reason for starting the procedures for dismissing Meta, were the clashes with the majority for the local elections of 2019 or for dozens of decrees that the president has returned to the Parliament or the appointment of some ministers.
Even for the April 25 elections, the president is accused of campaigning.
According to the majority, the President of the Republic has repeatedly committed several acts and behaviors, which in the assessment of the deputies constitute serious and flagrant violations of the Constitution. Among other things, Ilir Meta has revealed that he is looking forward to removing the president’s suit on July 22, the date when his term ends.
“In the abuse of constitutional and legal powers, as well as in the conditions of serious and flagrant violation of the Constitution, Mr. Ilir Meta before, during and after the period of the 2021 election campaign, with the actions, behaviors and messages given to the public has not guaranteed national unity, has incited political conflict.
The intensified statements and messages of the President in that period clearly favor the opposition parties and at the same time denigrate the majority, thus seriously violating the equality of political competition and violating the political impartiality that the Constitution has bestowed on the President of the Republic. The President’s public messages the day before election day, legally regulated as the day of electoral silence in respect of the constitutional right of individuals to vote.
Denigrating messages to senior representatives of diplomatic missions in Albania as persons sold and bought by the majority or the Prime Minister, seriously violated the constitutional rights of individuals, the image and reputation of the country and relations with Albania’s strategic partners such as the EU and the US. ja ”, it was stated, among other things, in the reasoning of the Assembly for the dismissal of Meta.
