The figure of Ismail Kadare is insulted, the homophobic article is published under his authorship

Ismail Kadare is one of the figures that make the Albanian nation proud with hundreds of his books published not only in Albanian, but also internationally.

To date, his works have been translated into about 45 different languages, thus being the main representative of Albanian literature around the world.

“Time of Wonders” is the short poem published on portals under the authorship of Kadare, which in fact turned out to have been adapted by Hoxha Valdet Kamberi.

His publication brought a great reaction from acquaintances and supporters of LGBTI, as in one of the verses it is ironized that nowadays the connection between the two sexes is called civilization.

The article also brought the reaction of human rights activist, Albanian businessman in America, Elton Ilirjani, who said that it could be false news from the portals.

While the Writers’ League said that the name of the Albanian writer has been misused.

The writing shows a narrow-mindedness and that in the first verses can never be related to Kadare. This was a reduction of his figure, while he is one of the Albanian writers who tried to write normal literature in an abnormal country, such as the period of dictatorship.

We recall that he has been honored with many international awards, including the Man Booker Internationa Prize in 2005, the Princesa de Asturias Prize for the Arts in 2009 and the Jerusalem Prize in 2015.
