This Thursday, as for several weeks, the residents of May 5, Lapraka and Paskuqan gathered in protest at the Assembly to oppose the demolition of their houses affected by two projects, that of reconstruction and the Great Ring Road.
They then moved their protest to the US embassy, where the calls were addressed to Ambassador Yuri Kim.
When the protest closed, one of the May 5 residents broke the security perimeter of the parliament, entering without the permission of the guard.
Prime Minister Rama previously assured the residents that no one will be left homeless and that through the contract offered by the Municipality of Tirana they will benefit from an apartment in the new buildings with the same meters2 that they have today.
