During the stay of the Top Channel team in Ukraine, Alisa Koverda told us that Russia has proved that it does not resolve issues through diplomacy but through weapons.
Unfortunately that happened. Asked about the first moments of the attack, through a voice message Alisa made this story to Top Channel journalist, Muhamed Veliu.
Alisa Koverda: At 4 o’clock in the morning they attacked the airport… which is a military airport with various types of missiles. We citizens in Kiev heard it because this airport is not too far from here. I heard the sound of planes flying over the house where I live. I do not know that all this will continue. I have no idea what I can do. My concern is that I can not connect with my mother and sister even though they live half a kilometer away from me. I am concerned because where they live there are no good bunkers to protect themselves from air attacks.
Bunkers says Alisa are not places where you can stay indefinitely.
Alisa Cover: These are just places where you run if you see something happening. For example the bunker in front of my house is deep and tall built as such. I can say I’m lucky but I do not know what the conditions are like it was not used and we thought we would not face war. People do not want to panic. We did not expect to be attacked from all sides. We are saddened by the fact that there were no protests from the citizens of Russia or Belarus about this. Now that I speak I can tell you that the World finds it hard to discern how devilish all this is in front of a young girl like me.
