Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his military to deploy the country’s nuclear defense forces on high alert, following successive statements by NATO countries.
According to local media, Putin gave the order during a meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov.
“Senior officials of key NATO countries have made aggressive statements against our country, so I order the Minister of Defense and the Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces to eat the preventive forces of the Russian army in a special regime“Putin said in his statement.
Earlier, Putin warned foreign countries not to interfere in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine since Thursday, warning of dire consequences. He has positioned anti-aircraft missiles and other advanced missile systems in Belarus and deployed his fleet in the Black Sea in an effort to prevent a Western intervention in Ukraine.
