Emine Imeri was invited today to “Invitation to 5” with Bieta Sulon, where she showed the violence and horror she had seen with her own eyes during the war.
Only 13 years old at the time, Emineja recalled how she escaped Serbian bullets. A little further he confessed for the first time through tears the scene of violence he had experienced on himself.
Having managed to provide food for her family in larger quantities than her friends, Emineja was stopped by Serb soldiers just as she was crossing the Ibar River bridge.
“As he approached me on the bars there, he just grabbed me by the waist and told another soldier to approach… he dropped his weapon and there I realized that they would kill me…“, She said and then burst into tears.
And the moment they hung him upside down on the bridge, Emineja remembered how the chocolates and some small food she had provided for her brother had fallen out of her pockets.
