According to UN estimates, more than three million people have fled Ukraine since the February 24 invasion of Russia.
Most have sought refuge in neighboring Poland, arriving at the border by train or bus.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres issued an update on the number of refugees on Wednesday, saying:
“The people of Ukraine desperately need peace. And people all over the world are looking for it. Russia must stop this war now”.
