With rising prices, living is becoming more difficult for economically disadvantaged families or the elderly.
Community centers have seen a solution where they can get at least one meal for free.
Valbona, a mother of two, has been going to the “Gonxhe Bojaxhi” center for the last three months. She alone can not support the family.
“I have been attending it for three months, and there is a psychologist I have needed lately. It has been a bit difficult living, I can not afford the prices, I am with two children separated from my husband, I can not afford them alone. We get a meal, the food is very good, it is exactly for those who need it, it is a very good alternative “.
Vaiti is 71 years old. The pension does not allow him to buy the food and medicine he needs.
“The pension does not come out. Too bad we can not afford it. We follow that the pension of 200 thousand lek, not medicine, the boy with thrombosis, does not come out. We can not do it, the prices are too high. “
In the last three months, 25 more people have been added to the center who receive daily services.
We have 100 people receiving daily service, in the last three months it has increased by 20-25 new people. Due to the crisis that has affected our country, our center is the first to feel the influx that we have more people. “Everyone is out of economic impossibility, we give them a meal but also psychological help, assistance they require from the legal side”, he said Elta Ismaili, Director of the Community Center.
“God bless him for being bad, but God bless him.”
