A karet-kareta turtle has come out dead on the Old beach of the coast of Vlora.
She is thought to be about 50 years old as an age. One of the protected area specialists, together with a Croatian specialist, took samples from this turtle and according to the examination conducted on the spot, it is suspected that the turtle died due to the consumption of plastic.
This is not the first time that such turtles appear dead on our coast but also the Italian one. Within two years, about 30 turtles have been found on the coast, mainly of the kareta-kareta type. 15 of them died and the others after the examinations performed returned to their habitat at sea.
