Prime Minister Rama announced that the vaccination of all doctors and nurses will end in mid-March and mass vaccination of the population will soon begin, taking as an example Israel and Great Britain countries which provided the vaccine and came out of the pandemic tunnel.
“I am flesh and soul engaged along with my friends. We too are waiting to enter the final stage of vaccination, the stage that eventually repels this virus. With Pfizer we secured the contract out of turn, at a time when many countries in the region do not have it, so within the second week of March we will be able to vaccinate all white shirts and mass vaccination will start very soon, it is a matter of time. Short time, not long. We are very close, I’m sorry I’re not saying the last word, but I’m looking forward to it.
Albania has so far received from Pfizer over 16 thousand vaccines with which vaccinations of doctors, nurses, elderly in asylum and the elderly over 80 are being done. Albania has contracted 500 thousand vaccines from Pfizer which will arrive in different periods, while it is talking with the company Astrazeneca which produces the oxford vaccine.
The company Astrazeneca is expected to receive 360 thousand doses of vaccines, while the Prime Minister said that a friendly country would give Albania a large amount of vaccines.
