The Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol is currently being attacked by Russian forces, according to a Ukrainian soldier stationed there.
Azov Regiment Deputy Commander Sviatoslav Palamar told the Associated Press that it is true that the steel plant is under attack.
Almost two weeks ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered his army not to attack the plant, but to block it.
About 200 civilians are believed to still be trapped in the shelters below the plant, which is the last pocket of Ukrainian resistance in the southern port city of Mariupol.
Further evacuations from the plant are planned for today, but it is unclear if they will be possible.
