Through the European Union’s IPARD III program worth 146m euros, the government will support agro-processing agriculture and agritourism.
Prime Minister Rama responded to critical voices in agriculture, the most vocal of which is his MP Erion Brace.
“Many people talk about the agriculture that is dying, about the agriculture that does not exist, can no longer breathe, about the agriculture that has no perspective anymore, about the village that is being finally abandoned and there is no one to work the land and people who “they have nothing to do with the village”, said Rama.
The old way of working alone, of going out in the market alone and of just earning no longer works, requires a combination of forces. Joining forces where everyone has their share of that part of the process that belongs to them, not joining forces as before, but joining forces where someone else works the soil, someone else offers the seed and the seedling and the way it is treated, someone else does the gathering and then all together make the sale… ..
With the funds given so far, said the Prime Minister, 437 projects have been implemented, but we now have the opportunity to do 100 thanks to the support of the EU.
