After almost two years part of Manchester United, Edinson Cavani closes the adventure with the English club.
In his last speech as a United player, Cavani had only thanks to the fans who have supported him unconditionally while adding that he remains hostage since last season, when he was in good shape, the fans were not in the stadium since coronavirus.
“I have only gratitude for the Manchester United fans, they have shown respect for me since the first day I transferred to Old Trafford. I think they appreciated all the commitment I had when I wore the United shirt, I always wanted to give my best. I am grateful to you and I will always have a fond memory.
What has left me with a bitter taste is the fact that last season, when I was also in good shape, the fans did not have the opportunity to be in the stadium from the coronavirus. This season with the fans in the stands, I did not do well, as did the team. “I would like to score goals like last season and celebrate with the fans who have been close to me, this is something very important for a footballer”, said Cavani./ SUPER SPORT
