The head of the branch of the Democratic Party in Fier says that Sali Berisha is holding the party hostage and is favoring Edi Rama as the head of the government.
In an interview for the show “Top Talk”, Kapllanaj shows some reasons that led to the crisis within the Democrats.
“The clash or crisis between us and many other democrats with Berisha happened after September 9 (When Lulzim Basha announced the exclusion from the Parliamentary Group of Sali Berisha) Those who thought differently from Berisha were declared enemies and opponents of Sali Berisha and collaborators of Edi Rama.
Berisha himself, in a television studio, spoke with superlatives about Basha, said that Rama would need 10 years to realize the projects that Basha has realized.
But, one day after the suspension he made, Basha was convinced, he was Rama’s collaborator. This was funny, but at the end of the day, Berisha at that moment felt abandoned by the structure of the Democratic Party. There, Berisha started the attacks and began to take back the Democratic Party in self-defense”.
The head of PD Fier says that Berisha is taking advantage of the delicate moment in which the largest opposition party is currently located.
“A good part of the democrats have joined Sali Berisha, who has found a very delicate moment in the PD. He found the moment, after the defeat on April 25, when all the democrats and those who believed in the right were disappointed that they did not win. And their revolt went to the then president Lulzim Basha. And Sali Berisha, even though he was complicit in the fact that PD remained in the opposition for more than 8 years, then the right-wing electorate began to focus on Berisha.
Berisha himself has the greatest interest in capturing the PD and using it as a shield. When there is also the leadership of the opposition, it means that in addition to defending itself, it has the luxury of attacking others. And Berisha does this”.
Basha and Berisha should leave PD and pave the way for free elections in the party, says Kapllanaj.
“I even told Basha, after April 25, that both of you should leave together.” If they left, they would pave the way for an open and honest election process in the party and we would have a new, natural leader.
The biggest evil of this country is depopulation and the cause is Edi Rama and his bad governance, but in order to deal with Rama we must be united and deal with Rama. If Berisha doesn’t leave, Rama won’t leave.”
