The US Embassy has released a statement clarifying that it is aware of a potential threat targeting the Free Iran World Summit.
The US Embassy has called on its citizens to avoid this event, monitor local media, keep a low profile (do not post on social media) and be aware of your surroundings.
The summit will be held in the Iranian Mujahideen camp in MEK, near Durrës, Albania on July 23-24, 2022 near Manza, about 30 km from Tirana. At least 3 thousand mujahedin who are in Albania have their city there.
The Mujahideen are considered a terrorist group by the Islamic Republic of Iran and have been in open conflict with the regime there for decades.
