The mayor and chairman of the Socialist Party of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has called the fiscal amnesty a necessity for all Albanians who emigrated in the difficult years of the political transition.
During the final meeting with the candidates for president of SP in Unit 5, where the winner of the race is expected to be announced soon, Erion Veliaj singled out the latest initiative of the government, as an example to show that this political force does not only work in the campaign, but every day of the year for the citizens and in this case, also for our compatriots.
“We are not like those who organize in the last month and spin the tires in the campaign. We must win the battle daily, not once in 4 years. Today Edi Rama and the Minister of Finance have a public battle for fiscal amnesty. Can any of you tell me if they don’t have a relative who worked abroad as a waiter, bartender or dishwasher, who didn’t have their first job with regular papers because they were probably an immigrant and had to accept a low salary? undeclared? This question is for people we know, they are our cousins, our tribe”, said Veliaj.
The mayor said that the Socialist Party today must be in step with the technology of the time. “The Socialist Party of the city that is today the European Youth Capital must keep up with young people, must talk about topics such as coding, blockchain, robotics and artificial intelligence. These are the topics that the youth of 2023 are talking about. We will be voted for by chicks and chicks who were born in 2005, that’s why we can’t talk to them about Saliu because they didn’t know him at all and it’s better that they didn’t know him because they would have been traumatized . But we have an obligation to raise the bar”, said Veliaj.
He said that in 2023 the citizens will choose between the SP, which knows how to govern, make a state and a city, a force that reflects civility, and another force like the PD, which burns its headquarters and every time they have elections they prepare for wrestling, for battles with tear gas, caskets, crowbars and baseball bats.
