The National Convention of the Socialist Movement for Integration has started its work this afternoon at the Palace of Congresses.
On the agenda are the election of the Chairman of the Convention, the presentation of proposals for changes to the statute, review and approval of the proposals of the delegates addressed to the Convention.
The convention has the right to change the name and it is expected to learn if a new name will be decided. The presidency of the convention consists of Eriona Bixha, Jorida Prifti, Georges Gostivishti.
This is the 5th Convention since the day when LSI chose to position itself in the opposition, after the 2017 elections, said Endrit Braimllari in his speech.
According to him, since then, LSI has been an active voice for the economic problems of citizens and businesses.
“We have represented the Albanian youth with special care, for the issues of education and their employment prospects. We have strongly opposed in the Parliament of Albania, in our public institutions and positions, the economic model of the current government, based on concessions, PPPs, secret tenders and financial and commercial frauds that remove money from the state budget and citizens’ pockets, in favor of government clients.
With our representatives in the Parliament of Albania, we have made a continuous contribution to the very important reforms that the country has gone through, offering concrete alternatives, always in the interest of ordinary people”.
