On the 23rd anniversary of the Studime of Vushtrri massacre, family members commemorated their loved ones, who were violently abducted and killed by Serbian criminal forces.
23 years ago, the inhabitants of Studime saw the horror with their own eyes, when the Serbian forces killed 116 innocent Albanians.
The latter were taken out of the column of hundreds of people who had taken the road to Albania. Witnesses say 116 civilians were shot within two hours.
Mother Hatixhe Ferati remembers with tears in her eyes the last moments with her loved ones, who were killed in this massacre.
“They took us by the hand, we trampled on them there, we did not dare to approach, pick them up, or see or touch them. We got some out there. I also had the old man with me because he could not walk, children and girls, just like that. These stopped them. How can a mother go out and leave? Nuk I will never forget how you saw the child, except Allah who sent these desolate ”she told Kosovapress.
Musa Gërguri, another family member, who lost his 16 and 20 year old daughters and 23-year-old sister in this massacre, said that he will always remember them, while he remains with the hope that such massacres will not happen again.
“I hope it never happens again as it happened… There are five, I have two daughters and a sister… One 20 years old and the other 16 years old, sister 23-24 years old. “What we have to do, we have to agree.”he said.
While Isa Gërguri says that we are waiting for the institutions to establish justice for the perpetrators of these macabre crimes.
“It was a horror, we just have nothing to do. That night we were in the column, but whoever had a star lived, whoever did not, they killed him. The sister was 25 years old, the brother’s daughter was 20 years old and the mixer was around 63 years old… Life is like this. “They (Serbian criminals) are behaving freely, we know most of them, we are waiting until something is decided,” he said.
The massacre in Vushtrri Studies by the heads of Kosovo institutions has been called one of the most horrific massacres of Albanians during the war.
