The number of people who have left Ukraine as a result of the war since February 24 has reached 2.8 million.
Data from the United Nations show that this is the biggest refugee crisis since World War II.
According to the EU, this number could quickly reach 5 million. Countries on the border, such as Poland, have hosted more than half of those fleeing, as have Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Moldova, which have hosted large numbers of refugees.
Polish border authorities say 1.76 million people have entered the country since the attacks began.
Millions of people have also been displaced inside Ukraine, many of them being evacuated to cities less vulnerable to Russian attacks.
Fighting continues in the suburbs of Kiev and major cities meanwhile, which Ukraine said it would try to evacuate more civilians through 10 humanitarian corridors on Monday.
