Two people have fallen into the hands of the Gjirokastra police after being accused of exercising illegal gambling activity.
The persons arrested were identified as: MZ, 29 years old, resident in Gjirokastra (administrator of a coffee bar entity) and BH, 55 years old, resident in Gjirokastra (client of the entity). The citizen ST, 53 years old, resident in Gjirokastra (owner of the coffee bar) was also prosecuted.
Based on the information provided by the police, a control was exercised in the premises of the coffee bar, in the neighborhood “18 September”, Gjirokastra, which the administrator had made available for gambling in violation of the law.
As material evidence, two mobile phones were seized, in which programs / sites for organizing online sports betting were found.
The materials in charge of the above citizens were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Gjirokastra Judicial District, for the criminal offenses “Organizing illegal lotteries” and “Making available the premises for illegal games”.
