Today marks 23 years since the massacre that took place in the village of Rogova i Hasit, where the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army were ambushed, but not many civilians of the village were spared.
On January 27, 28 and 29, 1999, 21 people were martyred in this village.
There they heroically gave their lives: Agim Zeneli, Luan Smajli, Agron and Sejdi Rama, Pren e Meme Lleshi, Agush Gjoci, Valon Gashi, Bahtjar Morina, Daut Kelmendi, Emrush Çeta, Kasim Shala, Hamdi Berisha, Gezim Ademi, Haxhi Lypjani, Gasper Karaçi , Ilir Merturi, Naim Gashi, Naim Dreshaj, Sahit Krasniqi and Vesel Avdyli.
On the same dates, nine other victims are remembered in the village of Goden and Bishtazhin in the municipality of Gjakova.
On this occasion, today homage is paid to the “Monument of Martyrs” in Rogova and the cemetery of martyrs.
