The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held a press conference after the meeting of the presidency, commenting on whether he will allow Berisha to enter the headquarters of the Democratic Party.
Basha said that he can go up and down the stairs as much as he wants and call protests, but he will no longer be part of the governing bodies of the Democratic Party.
As for the membership, he says that the former leader of the Democratic Party will be until the moment when he is judged to seriously damage the political and electoral interests.
Basha: Sali Berisha has been expelled as a member of the PD parliamentary group, as a member of the national council due to the decision of the National Assembly, Berisha’s roads with the PD governing bodies are separated. By his actions he is self-excluded. Our job is not to deal with it. Every time Berisha goes down the stairs from the headquarters is his job. Our task is for every democrat who has the interests of the DP and his or her sacred sacrifice, to be united against our only opponent, the Rama regime.
In the coming days, Berisha can go up and down the stairs. He can call protests against Blinken and anyone he thinks, he can create cells and organizations with anti-American orientation, but he will no longer be part of the governing bodies of the PD. He will be a member until the moment he is judged to seriously damage his political and electoral interests, but so far, his behavior is ridiculous.
