The earthquake in Greece last night caused fear in three other countries, including Albania, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia.
Some of the security camera footage shows the moment of the earthquake.
The strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale with its epicenter in Florina was at a depth of 14.1 km.
Citizens spent the night in cars and outdoors, abandoning their homes for fear.
Schools are closed this Monday, while the quake has caused a lot of damage. The windows of shops and houses were broken, but no injuries were reported.
Due to the constant shaking, objects have fallen inside the houses, while some plaster has come off and fallen on the cars.
“In 1994 we had a magnitude 6 earthquake in the area from a branch of this fracture and we are monitoring the phenomenon. Residents must protect the interior of their homes. Avoid crumbling walls. “We have to fix heavy objects in the house,” he said director of the Institute of Geodynamics, professor Akis Tselentis .
He spoke of the 14 tremors that followed the first of the 5.3 Richter, estimating that it is probably the main earthquake and that it will continue for days, maybe even weeks as the depth was small.
