A citizen was arrested while his wife was under investigation, after they were caught transporting two illegal immigrants to Tirana.
As part of this operation, the citizen IM, 51 years old, resident in Babrru, Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto, and his accomplice, citizen IN, 35 years old, was prosecuted for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, performed in collaboration.
The citizen with the initials IM was caught at midnight, in the area of Paskuqan, with two immigrants, who were promised to move to EU countries, in exchange for monetary reward.
Two foreign nationals are also under investigation for the criminal offense “Illegal crossing of the state border”, the police announced.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, committed in cooperation and “Illegal crossing of the state border”.
